Dillaway to join California Senior Leadership Team for Cox Communications

Colleen Dillaway has been named market vice president for Cox Communications in Orange County, Calif. Dillaway, who is the first person to hold this newly created position, will join Cox’s California senior leadership team and report to Ingo Hentschel, senior vice president and region manager for Cox’s California region.

In her new role, Dillaway will work with business and community partners in Orange County and Palos Verdes, represent Cox in the community and .  serve as the  market spokesperson.

 

Dillaway joined Cox in 2018 as director of public affairs where she was responsible  for community relations, philanthropic giving, external communications, and employee communications across the company’s California region serving San Diego, Orange County, Palos Verdes and Santa Barbara.

 

“I’m thrilled to have Colleen take on this new role and be an important bridge between our company and the communities we serve,” said Hentschel. “In her previous role, she was involved in a number of important initiatives that positively impacted our Orange County and Palos Verdes communities, and I know she’ll continue to drive key partnerships to address local needs.”

 

Dillaway is a seasoned cable telecommunications executive who started her career in the industry more than 20 years ago with Cablevision Systems Corporation (now Altice) in New York. Before joining Cox, she held leadership roles in markets across the country for several of the top cable operators including Cablevision , Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks (both now Charter).

 

Dillaway’s professional affiliations include Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) where she served for many years on the board of directors for the Southern California chapter, including two terms as president. Additionally, she is a long-standing member of the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). She has also served on the executive boards of directors for California Cable Telecommunications Association (CCTA) and the California Channel.
